The Bamboo Distributed Hash Table
A Robust, Open-Source DHT

Contributors
The Bamboo code itself was primarily written by Sean Rhea, but it is based heavily on the OceanStore, SEDA, and even libasync code that preceded it.

As time goes on, more people are starting to work on the code. David Oppenheimer implemented a Scribe-like reverse-path-forwarding multicast algorithm we call SoftScribe. Steve Czerwinski wrote an implementation of the Vivaldi virtual coordinates algorithm. Brad Karp added TTLs to data values stored in the bamboo.dmgr.DataManager.

The following additional people are all involved (in some way) with Bamboo:

  • The members of the OceanStore project.
  • The members of the PIER project.
  • The members of the OpenDHT project.

  • Dennis Geels
  • Petros Maniatis
  • Sonesh Surana
  • Timothy Roscoe
  • Yatin Chawathe
